Volunteers had a beautiful sunrise this morning!

There was no activity on the beach today ~
The nesting season has been “called”… this means because there has been no new nests for two weeks, we believe the nesting has come to an end. We are continuing to focus on hatching! (Of course the momma turtles don’t know we ended nesting season - so there’s always a chance we still get one!)
Volunteers will continue to walk the beach and check on nests for signs of hatching. They will also continue to do inventories on nests that have already hatched to collect data on nest success.
