Over the years, Friends of Hunting Island has made it our mission to bring differently-abled people to the beautiful shores of this great barrier island.

 

With the help of our membership donations, Mobi-Mats (beach access mats) have been installed at the Campground beach access and from the Lighthouse Complex.

 

Beach wheelchairs have also been purchased and are available for use at the Hunting Island Camp Store and the Lighthouse Gift Shop.

 

These mobility solutions are ever evolving, and we look forward to friends and family delighting in their usability and the pleasure of being able to get everyone to the sea.

Additionally, we are pleased to offer ramp access to our featured Park attractions The Visitors Center and The Nature Center. The Visitor Center also offers a Virtual Lighthouse climb experience for those that are unable to make the trip to the top!
