Our Beautiful Beach

Loggerhead turtles love our beautiful beach.

Organizations like the Friends of Hunting Island (FOHI) utilize citizen science tools such as the "My Coast" app to report marine debris and help protect vital nesting habitats. Not only do the volunteers protect turtle nests and hatchlings, they also pick up trash from the beach as they do their surveys.
