Monday's First Nest

Nests 19 and 20 were found today in Zone 4 and Non-nesting crawl in Zone 2

Both nests were laid high and were able to be left insitu

Nest 19 was Monday’s first nest and it got an extra stake in memory of JoAnn Aspray 🥰

There was a group of master naturalists visiting today. Chris and Peggy were there instructing that group so they all got to see the action also

Austin probed his first nest ever today and even though it was laid in a very tough spot, he stuck with it and located the egg chamber on nest 20 👏

Late post... Wednesday was a quiet day on patrol …the weather was cool, low humidity, and a slight breeze.. After patrol volunteers conducted a nest inventory on nest #129 that was over 70 days old.
