Wednesday turtle report

Volunteers continue to monitor nests for hatching! It has been a record year for turtle nests all along the east coast. Seaturtle.org has all the nesting information and data for anyone interested in seeing the numbers. The surf has been rough with strong rip currents thanks to Hurricane Lee. Surfers have been getting some good wave action ! 🌊🏄🏻‍♀️🏄‍♂️ The rough surf continues to bring in shells and other marine life on the beach ~ it’s a good time for a beach stroll ! It’s also a good time to pick up any trash and continue to fill in holes ! We appreciate your help ☺️

see you on the beach 🏝️

📸 The pictures were taken by permitted volunteers under permit

2023-MTP537. Following all rules and guide-

lines. Only permitted individuals are allowed to engage in sea turtle conservation activities.
