Data Czar is Spot On

We are averaging 3 viable nests per day and today was no exception. A cooler, clear morning with little wind - it was lovely day to patrol. With nest #145 in Zone 2, #146 in Zone 4 (another Boneyard nest!) and Nest #147 in Zone 5 on Little Hunting - our numbers keep crawling (pun intended) upwards.

The Momma's are coming onto the beach strong, traveling well into the dunes to nest in many cases. This is helpful both for the safety of the nest eggs as well as the achy backs of patrolers.Even the 2 Non-Nesting Crawls in Zone 3 left behind deep, steady flipper prints. Check it out!
