To address the question about an update and add 2019 to the nesting review. Here it is. DSFN = 56 days 2019 = 111 nests (day of first nest was 5/8) 2022 = 124 nests 2023 = 113 nests On this date - 6/30 2019 = 99 nests 2022 = 113 nests 2023 = 113 nests If we look back at this date (june 30th) for 2 of the previous high nesting years, 2023 is right on track with those record years (2022 and 2019). If we look at days since first nest of season (DSFN), 2023 is behind 2022 but ahead of 2019. As of June 30th My read at this point is that 2023 will come in less than 2022 but ahead 2019 in terms of total nests - 160-170. 2019 started off like gangbusters, but by late May/early June, the nesting pace fell off. Then it continued well until early July and fell off again. Happy nest hunting Keith
