Today we had nests 46 in Zone 2 and nest 47 in Zone 1. In addition we had a non-nesting crawl in Zone 2.
The mama turtle for nest 46 looked like she tried to climb up the dune. The dune looks like a cliff in the photo - that is where the high tides and wind removed 4 feet of dune just 2 days earlier. The drone shot shows her journey back to the ocean.
The picture(s) were taken by permitted volunteers under permit 2023-MTP537 following all rules and guidelines. Only permitted individuals are allowed to engage in sea turtle conservation activities.
