A little history and data

It was a quiet Monday on the beach with no activity so I thought that I would share a little bit of data that our Data Czar and my faithful co-leader on the beach on Mondays, Keith put together.

I find his graphs and data fascinating and knew that some of you probably would too

In Keith’s words, “History of nests counts on SC DNR's index beaches. See note on graph for more details

These beaches were picked by DNR as they accounted for 50+% of all nests in SC and they were consistently patrolled and monitored, with good data.

Trend of improving counts is very clear. Conservation is working. It takes 25+ years to start moving the needle on nest counts.”

Thanks Keith! You’re the best! 🐢❤️
