Paddle Fest - November 1, 2014

Attend Paddlefest to race kayaks and SUP's or simply to enjoy the camaraderie of paddling in a beautiful coastal area with like-minded people. 

Paddlefest offers 3 or 6 mile courses open to kayak, canoe, outrigger canoe and stand up paddle-boards.
 Racers will begin and finish in the Lagoon near Parking Lot J. All events will start together.

There are Categories (kinds of boats) and Divisions (age groups) for everyone! Awards Ceremony and Cookout will follow the events at Parking Lot J.

Want to watch? Spectators are able to see the start/finish from the lagoon or the entire middle of the race from one of two bridges.

All net proceeds go toward the Friends of Hunting Island which is an official 501 (c)(3) supporting our favorite SC State Park.

What is Trunk or Treat?

Come on out with the kids and enjoy an evening of fun, games, s'mores and face painting! Friday, October 31st from 4:00 - 7:00pm. All activities will be in the Nature Center parking lot. Costumes are encouraged!...More....

Do you remember enjoying the "great outdoors" as a child? Now you can come and play outside at Hunting Island State Park and learn about the outdoors while having fun and staying active. Just some of the programs that are available include Crabbing, Cast Netting, Lighthouse Tours, Creatures of the Night, Barrier Island Ecology, and even Knot Tying!
