Earth Day - Join us for our Annual Spring Beach Sweep

Hunting Island Lighthouse

Our annual Spring Beach Sweep is Saturday, April 26th, 2014. Every year, on Earth Day, Friends of Hunting Island partner with other organizations and individuals to clean up the trash on Hunting Island. Starting at 10am. Registration will be at the North Beach Pavilion.

Our long-time friends of the Lowcountry Rotary Club will be grilling hot dogs and hamburgs and the Friends of Hunting Island Social Committee will be providing additional food and drink to feed all of the volunteers.

Areas to be trash-busted are all along the beach, the interior roads, the lagoon, Russ Point Landing, Marsh Overlook, Nature Center, and trails. Shore clean-up will be done by kayak. See More...
