NEW CHANGING STATIONS AND SHOWER TOWERS

Thanks to Friends and Beaufort County A-tax funding, new changing stations are now installed at three Hunting Island State Park public beach access locations. Two at the South beach handicap area, four across from the South Beach restroom, and two at the first North Beach access area.

ALL TERRAIN WHEELCHAIRS

The Friends has helped the Park become more ADA compliant. New loaner all terrain wheelchairs located at Lighthouse Beach Store as well as the Campground all-terrain wheelchair were donated by the Friends of Hunting Island. With the handicap-equipped restroom at south beach and the mobi-mats, handicapped visitors will be able to enjoy camping and the beauty of Hunting Island beaches.
